Free PS Articles Finder is a Chrome extension that helps users find free versions of Project Syndicate articles through Google News search.
Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
What the Extension Accesses
When you click the extension icon while on a Project Syndicate article page, the extension:
- Reads the article title from the page (h1 element)
- Reads the author name from the page (columnist links)
This information is used solely to create a Google News search query and is processed entirely within your browser.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not collect browsing history
- We do not track your activity
- We do not store any data locally or remotely
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools
- We do not share any information with third parties
- We do not use cookies
- We do not collect personal information
How It Works
- You click the extension icon on a Project Syndicate article page
- The extension reads the article title and author from the current page
- A Google News search URL is created using this information
- A new tab opens with the search results
- No data is saved or transmitted anywhere
Third-Party Services
The extension opens Google News search results in a new tab. Your interaction with Google News is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Permissions Justification
- activeTab: Required to access the current page content when you click the extension icon
- scripting: Required to extract article title and author from the page
- Host permission (project-syndicate.org): Required to function on Project Syndicate pages
